RPD Rx allows you to survey the digital model at the chairside, allowing you to visually inspect the location and position of useable undercuts. Then, you can feed the undercut coordinates directly into your design canvas as a starting point. Clasp positions, connectors and rests remain your clinical decision, giving you full creative and clinical control.
No. RPD Rx is entirely browser-based — both the 3D surveyor and the 2D design canvas run directly in your web browser, with nothing to download or install and no dedicated surveying hardware to buy. Just sign in, import your IOS scan, and you can survey and design chairside on the computer you already have.
Yes. Patient information stays on your own device and is not uploaded to our servers. Prescription PDFs are generated in your browser, helping you keep patient data private and supporting GDPR compliance.
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can change or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
Yes. The prescribing clinician remains responsible for the design of the removable partial denture. RPD Rx helps you clearly record your design decisions and produces a detailed PDF prescription that can be shared with your laboratory.
Yes. You can import STL files into the Survey & Design workspace, establish the path of insertion and identify undercuts. Your PDF prescription can then be sent with your STL files through systems such as 3Shape Communicate, Medit Link, iTero or by email.
Yes. You can bypass they Survey stage and jump straight into the Design workspace. Your PDF prescription can then either be printed and sent with your impressions, or you can email it directly to append to the case. We recommend printing in this case, to keep the PDF and standard lab ticket together.
Yes. Step 1 includes an Immediate Extraction mode, allowing you to mark teeth planned for extraction. These teeth are clearly highlighted on the final prescription so the laboratory knows exactly how to prepare the case.
Yes! RPD Rx Direct and Pro are "per practice" licenses. Multiple team members can access the workspace, and you can easily select or update the individual prescribing clinician's name and GDC number on each prescription before PDF export.
RPD Rx supports cobalt-chromium, titanium, acrylic and flexible removable partial dentures. You can add rests, clasps, connectors, meshwork and other common framework components using the built-in design tools.
With RPD Rx Consult, you can submit your intraoral scan or study cast photographs for an independent, peer-reviewed design report by GDC-registered dental technology specialists. You receive an annotated 3D survey, tooth preparation guide (rest seats and guide planes), written clinical rationale, and an editable laboratory prescription within 6 to 48 working hours. What participation involves: your practice receives free access to the full RPD Rx Pro suite. In return, you agree to complete periodic short review questionnaires about your clinical experience using the software. You must have access to an intraoral scanner and regularly send cases to your laboratory partner via the native or cloud sharing facility.
Data use: anonymised responses may be used to inform product development.
Your rights: participation is voluntary and you may withdraw from the programme at any time without affecting your ability to use the software you've already been provided.
